Our Style and Purpose...
Here is a simple straight forward look at the Kodiak Nazarene Church
What we ARE:
- Simple in structure
- Whole church body/family ministry
- Relaxed, informal with a come as you are style
- Essential role- Participants of the Great Commission
What we are NOT:
- A program oriented church
- A busy calendar filled church
- We do not have separate men’s, women’s or singles ministries
If you are looking for a church that will fill your families calendar with all different types of programs you may be happier attending another one of the Kodiak area Churches.
BUT…
If you are looking for a body that believes in and practices unity with in the whole church body and between individual family units (Romans 15:5).
If you are looking for a church that does not practice high pressure ministry involvement but believes strongly in relationships.
If you are a fishermen, Coast guard personnel whom is not able to attend services on a regular schedule- that’s OK, (we will pray for you while your away).
If you believe the church exists to share the gospel with others by showing compassion, care and concern and by expressing what Christ has done for you in your life;
and
If you have the desire to simply your life, shed religiosity, find grace and live a strong yet simple faith;
Then maybe the Kodiak Nazarene Church is right for you and we would love for you to join us on this journey called Life.
What do we Offer?:
- Family oriented style worship and ministries
- Children and youth programs on Sundays
- Various Youth events through out the year
- Wednesday night group
- Local and world mission opportunities
- Last Sunday of the month is Family Sunday (all children remain in Service)
- Last Sunday of the month is a Communion Service followed by a potluck
- Babies and toddlers are welcome in service or to use the nursery
- Mixed worship set with contemporary and hymns
What do we Encourage?
- People to be in the Word and in prayer to keep the passion of Christ alive and active within their life.
- People with in the church to build lasting relationships with others with in the body.
- People to be involved within the community and work places in a concerted effort to build relationships.
- People to be available for those in need of emotional, physical or monetary support.
- People to build relationships with those within their sphere of influence that creates eternal changes.
- people to be participants of the Great Commission.
Our mission and purpose: To love Christ and live life by continually building on our relationship with Christ and those around us.
